The CCP put forward new countermeasures, claiming to shift its development strategy, from relying on investment and export to drive economic growth in the past, to stimulating domestic production by expanding domestic demand and consumption.
This is a countermeasure proposed by mainland China, which has experienced sluggish growth and declining exports in recent years, stagnant industrial production, and may be plunged into a long-term economic recession.
Let’s analyze it. The domestic consumption structure of mainland China is different from that of other countries. The consumption power of ordinary people is relatively small, while the consumption of official funds of the CCP is extremely powerful.
The vast number of working people who create wealth can only get a small piece of pie, while the CCP cadres and bureaucrats who do not participate in production can enjoy a large piece of pie. This is actually a parasitic consumption structure.
Under such an abnormal consumption system, empty talk of expanding domestic demand will only encourage officials to use public funds to eat and drink more, and will not be conducive to economic development.
The authorities must reform the existing unreasonable distribution system, increase the labor income of ordinary people, improve the purchasing power of the people, and at the same time vigorously curb the consumption of public funds by CCP officials. Only in this way can a normal consumption system be established and the goal of expanding domestic demand to stimulate production can be achieved.
