Yang, Zhiguang: Sincerely respect human rights, realistically improve human rights
杨志广(Yang,Zhiguang)
For a country of 1.3 billion people, human rights situation in China is very poor. The key to improve human rights in China is not about promises, but about serious implementations and gradually decreasing cases which the government tramples people’s human rights. The Chinese government should understand one fact that it is of the human rights issue when the police and urban supervisors beat and hurt people; it is of the human rights issue when the government arrest demonstrating petitioners; it is of the human rights issue when armed forces are deployed to massacre people.
The Chinese government once stated that: “The human rights course in China has been improved historically and the human rights situation in China is at its best time of history”. In fact, the human rights situation in China hasn’t been improved effectively and it is worrying. The Chinese government doesn’t respect human rights and is condemned by the global society and at UN human rights conferences from time to time. The Chinese government hasn’t established any law or judicial system to protect human rights, and people don’t have freedom of speech, religion and organizations. The is the major reason why the human rights situation in China couldn’t been improved.
We urge the Chinese government to stop trampling human rights, let people have basic human rights on the basis of gradually improving people’s education. Chinese government should sincerely respect human rights and realistically improve human rights.
