Hou,Chunhua: “Jasmine revolution” is pushing forward political reform in China
侯春华(Hou,Chunhua)
“Jasmine revolution” first occurred in Tunisia in Middle East, Tunisia with Jasmine as the national flower in North Africa occurred large scale protests fueled by the death of a small vender. Tunisia President with 23 years of power stepped down. “Jasmine revolution” spread to Egypt, and Egyptian people staged widespread anti-government demonstrations, and the President with 30 years in power stepped down.
Chinese society has serious inequality in wealth, imbalanced economic development, unequal and unjust society, potential crisis in ecological environment, problems in employment, education, medical treatment, food safety, demolition, appeals all have direct relationship with official corruption. Chinese people who attend “Jasmine revolution” require the government to solve these problems.
‘
All those problems rely on an honest, clean, efficient political system. If China has two or more political parties, political parties have mutual supervision, no one would corrupt and the government would be honest and clean. Political reform in China needs a “Jasmine revolution”.
