Lu,Zenghui: Protecting environment benefit the nation and its people

More than half cities in China have air and water pollution, ecological environment in the whole region formed wide, extensive and influential damages. Food safety incidents happen all the time, some vegetables, fruits and food processing products have poisonous ingredients which exceeded standard. Industries as pollution source should take responsibility for environmental protection, governments at all levels and officials should also take responsibilities.
Chinese government focuses on developing economy and doesn’t put environmental protection a key position. Today, serious environmental pollution problems have become a bottleneck for economic development, worsening of environment greatly increased difficulty for environmental protection.
China is a big country with huge population and advanced economy, and it should be responsible for international environment. We hope Chinese government can have restrictive legislation and enforcement, effectively control pollution created by development of economy, and do duty of an economic big country.
