Revolution in Tunisia and Egypt have greatly shocked mainland China, and touched democrats in China, Jasmine Flower revolution requests to have open and transitional reform, which conforms to spirit of constitutionalist reform by democrats.
Encouraged by Egypt revolution, Chinese netizens call for Jasmine Flower revolution, request to improve the peoples’ livelihood, judiciary system, political reform and freedom of the press, but CCP is threatened by the trend, afraid that Chinese people may imitate Egypt and overthrow its one party dictatorship. CCP doesn’t rethink its governance, didn’t improve public life status quo and human rights conditions, but restricts internet, block search of words like press freedom, jasmine flower and Egypt, jasmine flower has become a sensitive word in China, any blogs on the internet will be deleted, and take away many people who maintain legal rights. CCP’s conducts show guilty and afraid that people might gather and protest the dictatorship.
All social classes in Chinese society are not satisfied with abuse of power by officials and lack of justice in the legal system, which have many similar points with people in Middle East and North Africa. Grumbling are like time bombs but these bombs have no time intervals, grumbling which have been accumulated for a long time might erupt at any time. Like the Jasmine flower revolution, they can erupt at any time, at any where with any ways.
Triumph of Egypt also bring us edification that army must be nationalized, must protect the people and have the same front with the people, must maintain neutrality and rationality of the army, and abolish the one party dictatorship.
Triumph of Egypt revolution again proves that the people are water which bears the boat is the same that swallows it up. It is an objective truth. If CCP wants to be cautious, it must put people’s interest first, and serve the public wholeheartedly, return real democracy and freedom to people, not fool the public. The party and organizations which exploit people, exploit human rights and freedom of people, put personal interests and group interest above interest of the people, will ultimately be overthrown by enlightened and unified people. Today’s Egypt is tomorrow of Egypt. A country who doesn’t listen to any dissenting opinions is like a pool of dead water and will smell one day. Fragrant jasmine flower will flow in mainland China.
