Hua,Dongping: Pursuit of democracy and rule of law is rights of Chinese people
华冬平(Hua,Dongping)
The CCP always claims to establish a legal society, with a society ruled by law, it can establish a harmonious society, and maintain stability and prosperity in society. However, a legal society without democracy and freedom is just an inane alibi, and hypocrite. CCP talks about ruling the country by law all the time, and officials keeps mentioning ruling the country by law for many years, does Chinese society has legal system? The answer is no.
Take official corruption problem as an example, these so-called “servants of the people” have power not supervised by the people, and not restricted by law; which lead to endless official corruption, and even exchange of right and money. In press monopolized and controlled by CCP, Chinese people can’t see any institutional anti-corruption reports, and can’t see articles of serious corruption because of system defects. The whole media lacks true reports.
The justice, and fresh environment in democratic countries lie in rights of participation in managing the country and supervising officials for everyone. The current China still has no such democratic environment, and we believe that, Chinese society is not far from democracy and rule of law on the premise of pursuit of democracy, freedom, and rule of law by Chinese people.
