For Chinese government’s omittance and official corruption problems, many Chinese people knows what’ what, some have grudge but can only scold in private; even farmers know bow and scrape in public, and sing the praises of government, at least they don’t have aggressive comments. They can criticize the government in private, and even officials; don’t dare to criticize them in their faces. The fact proves that Chinese people don’t have freedom of speech.
The internet indeed expanded space for freedom of speech of Chinese people, the Chinese government knows very clear that the influence of the internet. The arrival of internet brings convenience for the government to accumulate bureaucratic capital, and also brings information crisis and belief crisis to CCP. The CCP loves the internet but also hates the internet, therefore, it advocates people to use internet and at the same time use strict measures to block sensitive websites, and strictly force-out sensitive comments.
The CCP regime has a basic rule to govern China, which is to make people docile and obedient in peaceful times, and use violence, threats and lies to deceive the public. Those middle aged and senior people who experienced rain and shiny days have deep understanding. Now the young people are the most brave, they dare to say the truth, dare to criticize government, and dare to demand punishing corrupt officials. The June 4 movement in 1989 is an example, if students were not powerless, the history would be rewritten, and lies of CCP would not maintain its dictatorship.
