Wang,Liang: Corruption problems of Chinese officials must be solved

All levels of Chinese government have numerous officials, no matter of official ranking, as long as power is held in their hands, they will use every opportunity and channel to gain profits, to conduct power-money exchange. Chinese government usually says officials are “servants of the people”, and local magistrate; in fact officials use public funds to squander, extort and harm the masses.
In Chinese cities, many people have no jobs, and they set up booths for survival, and relevant officials will come for inspection. If booths don’t conform to requirements of government, officials will require rigorous rectification, and blackmail to punish them if rectification doesn’t work, or asking for items in exchange for money. These serving the public can’t be offended, and the masses suffer unspeakably.
The masses know clearly that officials have corruption problems, that officials have absolute power that is not legally binding and not supervised by public, which is the source of corruption. Only reform the social system and establish democratic freedom and legal system, letting power to be controlled and supervised by law, can truly solve corruption problems of Chinese officials.
