Shi,Caoming: Education system in China has serious corruption and plagiarism

Advanced intellectuals in China are degenerating at the speed of free-falling. Look at the recent forgery cases and academic corruption cases; and those professors and experts who expressed alarming comments. The classic quotation is “Stock exchange in China rise 30,000 a day and bicycles have more pollution than cars.
University is a government office. Universities have all drawbacks as state-owned companies. Academic embezzlement, plagiarism, defraud research fund; close breeding, academic monopoly; “networking is better than teaching”, “networking theory” are popular, secure official position is much better than poor teachers; Plagiarizing western theories, taking shortcut, lack of dedication to research; all these situations make faculties in universities neither teach nor educate, harm the younger generation, consuming education resources and valuable time of the young.
If the leader has no integrity, the subordinates won’t be good. Teachers can’t be examples and students have no intention to study. Education model in China oppress renovation, and it has to be changed now. The priority is to abolish college entrance examination system, and replace it with similar comprehensive selection in western countries. I agree with the saying that there are no bad students, only bad teachers. The current situation should be blamed on the society. The hope of the nation is the youth, if China doesn’t want to be “world’s migrant workers”, education officials should really self-examine themselves.
