Li,Fanglei: China needs a constitution like “Declaration of Independence”

The American Declaration of Independence brought up a very important notion, which is people have three basic rights that are non-transferable, unalienable, and inviolable: rights of live, rights of freedom, and rights to pursue happiness. Thus assured the freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion.
The masses living in China have no freedom of speech, no basic human rights, common people are discriminated in education, employment, medical care, and retirement. Chinese people had costly lessons, and bloodshed fighting for freedom and human rights; the Chinese government today says repeatedly to establish a harmonious society, but has severe and cruel control of the masses. Improving human rights should not count on the government, but the masses. China today lacks a constitution like Declaration of Independence.
For over two hundred years, Declaration of Independence brought huge impacts to people worldwide in respect of human rights. Meanwhile, Declaration of Independence is exerting positive impact on Chinese people for them to pursue democracy, freedom, and human rights; Chinese people are in dire need for Chinese version of Declaration of Independence.
