Spring is coming, and New Yorkers are enjoying the warm sun & beautiful scenes nature has to offer on the street of New York. At the land of democracy & freedom, people live with peace and harmony. They all do the things they feel like to. Even the navy recruitment is on the street. With a table set up, several navy recruitment officers are passing out navy recruitment materials & free gifts to people walking by. If you are willing to contribute to the country, and meet the requirement, you can join the navy without any discrimination on race or sex. The compensation is excellent too.
When Chinese immigrants walk by, many are struck with the scene compared to what happens in China with CCP government. It is like a difference of heaven from hell. If a common Chinese people want to join the army, he has to ask help from relatives in the army, or register from the “back entrance”, which means bribing the recruitment officer. Also the government needs to check his background from his fathers to his grandfathers, so on and so forth. To become a soldier, one has to go through all of the above. After joining the army and become a soldier, they start to face being abused by higher ranking officials, not to mention their compensation is miserable. Maybe someday, the soldier will be ordered to point the gun to their own brothers and sisters. This is the difference of dictatorship & democracy.
