                               Liu, Jianfu: China’s Environment Is Getting Worse and Worse

The trend in today’s CCP officials is: to secure and promote their ranks, officials at different levels care about local productivity only and pay no attention to environment protection. “Productivity” is “political performance”. Environment deterioration is no one’s concern.
China is the most polluted country in the world, which is caused by CCP. CCP’s policy is: Becoming rich is the first priority. All these resulted in many environmental problems and aftermath. If it were not for the 2008 Olympic Games and international pressure, CCP hardly takes any care of these issues at all. It can be predicted that after the Olympic Games in 2008, China’s environment disaster will become many times worse. Seriously polluted atmosphere above China has already spread to neighboring countries and even crossed the Atlantic Ocean to the west coast of America and more and more countries are complaining about this.
Obviously, China’s environment pollution has become another form of “threat”. As the “least responsible government”, CCP authority’s practice is not only hurting the nation and the later generations, it is damaging the whole globe as well.
