Song, Shunchang: Corruption in China is a Systematic One
Corruption has infiltrated into every corner in China society, and to some extent in nowadays China political stage, senior or junior, almost every official is a participant and beneficiary of corruption. Corruption in China has become a systematic corruption.
These officials would talk about corruption angrily in public, but in their mind seldom they think: if I were in that position could I keep myself away from corruption? The matured answer is “no”. Why? Because in present China, from above to below, from left to right, from front to back, a crossed-knitted social net, every knot can not function smoothly without corruption as lubrication. If other colleagues are corruptive, and corruption became a normal practice, then nobody can do it otherwise, for that knot will soon lose its function. A social foreigner cannot live in such a social net, and we can predict, that soon the knot will be replaced by others and the whole net then keep on its function systematically.
