Cheng, Wen: The Greedy and Lustful China Officials
Concentration of power system nurtures a corruptive and degraded official circle in China, as numerous China officials violated their party discipline and offended the state law, or even risk their political or physical life in the pursue of greedy for fortune and lustful for fair women. They indulged in extravagant life of money and women, and profited in exchange of money with power, and degraded themselves in luxurious fortune and excessive love affairs but not realizing by themselves.
There’s a saying: “Behind every successful man there’s a good woman”, and this saying is somewhat out of date. Because nowadays the trend in China officials circle is to keep mistress, so the saying should be revised as “Behind every successful man there exist at least one fair woman”, to make it more updated. The power in China officials’ hand was never came from the people, and it goes without surveillance or control. All officials in power have a superb feeling over others. In order to show their privilege status they would, ignoring the law and discipline, greedily embezzle money and property, while lust fair women to satisfy themselves. Keeping mistress is now in fashion in China officials circle. According to some statistic figures, over 90% corruptive officials under legal investigation have kept mistress.
Though we can not prove if the majority officials have mistress or not, we can imagine there are few officials have no mistress, because in such a big dyeing vat like China officials circle very few can stay law-abiding and stick to their own place without getting into corruption.
