Chen, Jun: The Concept on Chinese Moral and Culture must be Changed

Chinese nation consists of many backward minorities, and some people believe that a nation’s moral and culture may change with industrial production line or some ideal political opinions, so in the past one hundred more years, they started sabotage campaigns on Chinese traditional moral and culture one after another, till the occurrence of the absurd historical event – the cultural revolution, that leads to the damage of moral and cultural stage in China society.

The reform and open-door policy in China started with the destroy of moral and cultural stage, so it is only too natural to have events of party and government officials went hand in gloves with profiteers and impaired the state and the people’s interest. Moral law is the base to keep social civilization going on and it is also an expression of social moral culture. The forming of any nation’s moral and culture must experience a long historical process, and it is also a complex of the nation’s natural environment, social form, ethnic group and historical culture accumulation.

There are many reasons that China can sustain its own civilization so long in the world, among them, China is the first in the world that set up an important theoretical system as “On Morals”, so that a big moral and cultural stage consist of Confucius, Buddhism and Taoism was set up for the whole society and this is a most important reason.
