CDPWU Holding a Rally “Donate to Aid Persecuted Human Right Activists within China”
On Nov. 28, 2006, 11 am, more than 100 members and cadres of CDPWU led by chairman Wang, Jun held a rally “Donate to Aid Persecuted Human Right Activists within China” in front of Chinese General Consulate in New York.
Under China communist one party dictatorship, for China communist to control the people, events of arbitrarily detaining dissidents happened all the time. Besides a lot of state prisoners, China communist authority also persecuted family members of “June 4” victims, religious personages, network dissidents and human right activists. In recent several months, famous human right attorney Gao, Zhisheng and human right activist, blindman Chen, Guangcheng were arrested. The democracy personages who ever participated in 1989 student democracy movement and were detained since then and still in the prison to this day are: China Democracy Party activists Qin, Yongmin, Liu, Xianbin, Zha, Jianguo, Gao, Hongming and He, Depu; China Advancement Union activists Hu, Shigen, Gao, Yuxiang, Chen, Qinglin and Wang, Tiancheng; worker democracy movement personages Li, Wangyang, Yao, Fuxin and Xiao, Yunliang; and network authors Shi, Tao, Kong, Youping, Ning, Xianhua, Li, Dawei, Xu, Wei, Jin, Haike, Zhang, Honghai and Zhang, Lijun.
Wang, Jun, chairman of China Democracy Party World Union indicated at the rally: the human right defending movement which in the ascendant in mainland China is a centralized manifestation of social contradictions such as corruption and degeneration, collusion of officials and businessmen, moral falling, and wide gap between the rich and the poor, and populaces rise up opposing in order to protect their own rights and interests. China Democracy Party World Union has ever organized its members to donate for many times, and the donating money has been successfully transferred to family members of some detained human right activists. Today, we once again call on all members of China Democracy Party for donating to aid persecuted human right activists within China.
CDPWU strongly appeal China communist government to immediately release all detained religious personages, network dissidents and human right activists.
