Wu, Aili: The People Won’t Forget the Sacrificial Spirit of Jun. 4 Victims

In 1989 of last century between spring and summer, thousands upon thousands Chinese populaces held high a banner of opposing corruption and striving for civil rights, shouted loudly a slogan of peace, sense and request dialogue in Tiananmen Square, from avenues and alleys in Beijing then to all over China, and converged a democratic movement wave of tremendous force. The democratic movement wave inspired innumerous souls of Chinese people, after 40 years high-handed policy of China communist one party dictatorship in mainland China, the lamp of hope of Chinese nation was emblazed all over the country for the first time.

The democratic movement wave astonished high-level conservatives of China communist, so they exerted their special skills which the rulers of totalitarian political system were used to doing to break an abstinence from killing bare-handed ordinary peoples and students. The bloods of populaces incarnadined the square and the streets, inculpable lives were destroyed by ruthless bullets of fooled soldiers, and many democratic movement activists were put into the jail merciless. The history testified again: under the totalitarian political system, peaceful and rational forces wouldn’t avoid the bullets of rulers unless they changed their original intentions completely and didn’t insist on movements of opposing corruption and fighting for civil rights.

Men will never forget the sacrificial spirit of Jun. 4 victims, they use peaceful and rational means to face tanks and guns, how revering their spirits of tolerance are!
