Coalition forces say they have killed 11 militants and detained 24 suspected terrorists in operations across Iraq Saturday.

Officials say Iraqi troops also raided the Sadr City area of Baghdad in an effort to disrupt kidnapping and terror cells.  

In the southern city of Basra, U.S. and Iraqi forces continue to search for five Western security contractors kidnapped this week.  Officials say the fate of the four Americans and one Austrian is unclear.

Iranian-run television broadcast a message from a previously unknown group saying it is holding the men.  The claim could not be verified.

And Britain＇s prime minister, Tony Blair, blamed violence in Iraq on Sunni Muslim insurgents linked to al-Qaida and Shi＇ite militias backed by Iran.

In an interview with Al-Jazeera English television, Mr. Blair said the situation in Iraq is a disaster because of the insurgent violence.
