With the changes of the times, the management of democratic countries has become more and more tolerant. Some things that were not tolerated in the past can now be tolerated peacefully.
For example, if the people of a certain region demand independence, this was a major crime in the past to split the country and betray the country. However, in modern democratic societies, people can accept it calmly.
For example, Canada's Quebec region once held a referendum calling for independence, and the United Kingdom's Scotland region also held a referendum calling for independence.
In the face of these territorial secession activities, the central governments of Canada and the United Kingdom, which advocated reunification, did not threaten to use force to maintain national integrity as they did in past eras. Instead, they publicly promised to respect the will of the people and accept the results of the referendum.
On the other hand, the authorities in mainland China still adhere to authoritarian dogma, cannot follow the trend of history, and refuse to implement tolerant state management.
The CCP must resolutely oppose and completely eliminate things that it does not like, such as the lifting of party bans and the opening of newspaper bans, no matter how in line with public opinion and social trends.
Such authoritarian practices that are hostile to the people will sooner or later disappear from the stage of history.
