In recent years, a series of far-reaching social movements have taken place in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
First, there was the Sunflower Student Movement of Taiwanese youths, who took to the streets to protest the cross-strait service trade agreement that was not conducive to Taiwan, and once attacked the Taiwan Legislative Yuan.
Then there is the Umbrella Movement of Hong Kong youths, which opposes the CCP’s implementation of false universal suffrage in Hong Kong. Tens of thousands of students occupy the downtown area of Central with great momentum.
These recent movements show that the new generation of young people in Hong Kong and Taiwan in a free and democratic society are undergoing changes in their thinking.
The universal values of human rights and freedom have surpassed the concept of country and nation, and the traditional blood, historical and cultural ties have been weakened. The "People＇s Republic of China" of the CCP cannot protect human rights and freedom. Therefore, young people from Hong Kong and Taiwan are unwilling to return to mainland China and accept this autocratic state rule.
Youth are the future and hope of society.
Although the mainland authorities are shouting about the great cause of national reunification and the dream of Chinese rejuvenation, young people in Hong Kong and Taiwan no longer believe in these nonsense.
In the future, unless the CCP abandons one-party dictatorship and implements a democratic constitutional government, the new generation in Hong Kong and Taiwan will have the courage to pursue their own ideals of freedom, and will gradually distance themselves from dictatorship China.
