Li,Ruqiang :Predatory development has caused the depletion of China’s marine resources

李汝强(Li,Ruqiang)
The coastal aquatic resources of mainland China are rapidly depleting, and there is no fish flood in the coastal waters.
In China's former shoals of fish, a large number of fish appear on the sea surface, which has not been seen for many years.
The four traditional fishing grounds: Bohai Sea Fishing Ground, Zhoushan Fishing Ground, South China Sea Fishing Ground and Beibu Gulf Fishing Ground have already existed in name only, and the coastal fishermen have no fish to catch.
In order to protect marine fishery resources, countries around the world have formulated many measures in recent years, such as: prohibiting fishing during the reproductive season of fish (ie, fishing moratorium), formulating fishing quotas for various fish, and strictly limiting the mesh size of fishing nets, etc.
Through such protection, fish can recuperate, spawn and reproduce, and fishermen have fish to catch.
However, in pursuit of economic interests, local governments along the coast of mainland China are indifferent to resource conservation.
For example, during the fishing moratorium, there are fishing boats that go out to sea illegally to fish, but the local fishery department sits by and ignores them, and when there are fishing boats that exceed the quota, the fishery authorities just turn a blind eye.
If this development continues, the people of mainland China will have no fish to eat in the future.
I suggest that China's marine resources should be developed in a planned way.
