Zhang, Jichao: We Can Never Forget the 89 “June 4” Incident

In the morning of June 4, 1989, in order to protect dictatorial rule, China Communist authority sent well-equipped army to massacre the students and citizens who “urge the government to punish corrupt officials and to promote democracy political reform”, numinous attendees died in front of the muzzles of “Chinese soldiers”.
The “June 4” incident has passed 23 years, now it is only a historical mark for Chinese youngsters, since they have no deep memory for this; for those Chinese people who had experienced the “June 4” incident, the incident is a special memory in their heart; while for those who personally and directly participated the “June 4” incident, it was so impressive that they will never forget.
23 years later, we commemorate the “June 4” incident, among the people at that time who fight for their ideals, some are living an obscure life, some are disabled, and some even sacrificed their lives. Chinese people will not forget them, history will remember them. Chinese people will not stop the pursuit of the cause of democracy, and China will definitely realize democracy, freedom, human rights, and rule of law.
