At 11AM of February 28, 2012, more than 200 China Democracy Party members came to the Consulate General of the PRC in New York, to hold a rally, “Strongly protest that Chinese Communist Party arrested China Democracy Party member Chen, Shuqing once again”; “strongly protest the Chinese Communist government persecuted China Democracy Party members and dissidents”; “strongly demand ending the one-party dictatorship of Chinese Communist Party, establish a democratic China”. The Chairman of China Democracy Party and Proprietor of <China Democracy Journal> Wang, Jun attended today’s rally, and made an important speech in the rally.
The China Democracy Party member, Chen, Shuqing, is 48 years old; he graduated from Zhejiang University with Master of Science degree. Chen, Shuqing is a Committee member of China Democracy Party in Zhejiang Province, and one of the leaders of China Democracy Party Headquarters in Zhejiang, also a well-known internet writer. Over the years, Chen, Shuqing wrote a large number of papers advocating for freedom, democracy, human right and ruling by law; while fighting against dictatorship and autocracy. Consequently, he has been persecuted brutally for a long time by the Chinese Communist Party. Confronted with the powerful dictatorial regime and in order to contribute to the cause of democracy in China, Chen, Shuqing stepped forward without hesitations. He once published a famous saying; one paragraph from it is like “China belongs to the Chinese People, not the Chinese Communist Party’s private property. Speech freedom and the freedom to express political opinion are all sacred human rights we ordinary people are born with, not bestowed by a certain kind of party or dictator. Because you are trampling human rights and restrain speech freedom, when you are sentenced by law and put into prison, you will finally have the bad fame and disgrace you deserve; whereas I will gain proud and honor.” On September 14, 2006, Chen, Shuqing was arrested by Chinese Communist government in the name of “instigating to overthrow state power”; on August 16, 2007, the Chinese Communist government arbitrarily sentenced Chen, Shuqing to four years in prison in the name of “instigating to overthrow state power”. On September 13, 2010, he was released.
Pic 2: Mr. Wang, Jun said in the rally, that on February 10, 2012, China Democracy Party member Mr. Zhu, Yufu was heavily sentenced to seven years in prison again by the Chinese Communist government. Only 10 days after that, another China Democracy Party member, one of the leaders of China Democracy Party Headquarters in Zhejiang was arrested by the Chinese Communist government.
Pic 3: Wang, Jun pointed out that from CCP’s actions of arresting Chen, Shuqing once again right after heavily sentenced Zhu, Yufu, we can see that the Communist government has exhausted their tricks and become frenzied. What Zhu, Yufu and Chen, Shuqing did was only carrying out their duties and obligations.
Pic 4: As has been reported by multiple Medias, over the past months, China Democracy Party members and dissidents in Zhejiang, such as Wang, Rongqing, Wu, Yilong, Zou, Wei, Huang, Weidong and Wei, Zhenling, etc, were all threatened by the Chinese Communist Party and their houses been searched and their properties were confiscated.
The Chairman of China Democracy Party and Proprietor of <China Democracy Journal> indicated in the rally, on February 10, 2012, Mr. Zhu, Yufu, who is a China Democracy Party member and has spent nine years in Communist government’s prison, was once again sentenced to another seven years in prison. Only 10 days after that, another China Democracy Party member and one of the leaders of CDP headquarters in Zhejiang Province Mr. Chen, Shuqing’s house was forcibly searched by Chinese Communist government, and his personal documents and computer were also taken away; and once again they arrested Chen, Shuqing. Medias have reported that, over the past months, China Democracy Party members and dissidents in Zhejiang Province Wang, Rongqing, Wu, Yilong, Zou, Wei, Huang, Weidong and Wei, Zhenling were all threatened by Chinese Communist government and their houses were also illegally searched. The reason why these brutal actions happened is the current situation in China without human rights, ruling by law equality and justice, due to the one-party dictatorship of the Chinese Communist government.
Wang, Jun pointed out that from CCP’s actions of arresting Chen, Shuqing once again right after heavily sentenced Zhu, Yufu, we can see that the Communist government has exhausted their tricks and become frenzied. What Zhu, Yufu and Chen, Shuqing did was only carrying out their duties and obligations. However, the Chinese government sentenced them because of their speech, which totally deprived them of their basic human rights. If someone was deprived of his basic human rights, he would definitely lose his dignity and basic protection. Every citizen living in China has various rights bestowed by Constitutional law, and human rights are the basic rights among them. But the modern-day China is a country ruled by certain kind of people in a dictatorial political system. The articles about human rights in Constitutional law only exist in name; government officials and cadres always persecute and trample human rights of ordinary people. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no human rights in China; to perform the human rights reform is a long way to go.
Several other CDP members spoke in the rally, strongly protested that Chinese Communist Party arrested CDP member Chen, Shuqing once again, strongly demand the Chinese government to release Chen, Shuqing immediately; immediately release Wang, Bingzhang, Zhu, Yufu, Liu, Xianbin, Xie, Changfa, Xu, Wanping and Chen, Xi; return freedom to them.
