Memorizing 10th Anniversary of "9/11"
It is Sep, 10 today and tomorrow is the 10th anniversary of “9/11” when America was attacked by terrorism. The tragedy, happened ten years ago, caused more 3000 people lost their lives suddenly and it had so big influence on US and the world, so anti-terrorism became the common topic in international society from then on. Memorizing is for not forgetting and it is the respect and aspiration for lives. Let’s review and memorize this event to express our yearning of victims and not hope it happen again through the pictures below.
In the morning of Sep 11, 2001 EDT, terrorists hijacked four airliners and hit the World Trade Center in NY and the Pentagon in Washington DC. Six buildings were destroyed totally, including Petronas Tower, and other twenty-three hochbaues were damaged. When the tenth anniversary of “9/11” is coming, US President Obama wrote on “USA Today” to memorize it on Sep 8, 2011 and he called for American people to display virtuous, patriotic and united aspiration again to promote the steps of country.
Obama said in the souvenir article he would not forget that morning ten years before forever, and when he heard the terrible news he was on the way to Chicago and he felt heart-stricken as ordinary American. At that time his two daughters were very young, he didn’t know how to communicate with them about this event. At present what he told his daughters is that the most serious terrorist attack in American history also stimulates the best aspect of US and it is “As Americans, we must pull together”.
President Obama emphasized the real US aspiration, which must reappear at this 10th anniversary, was that ordinary people promote the virtuous, patriotic and united aspiration of a country. The past ten years were the challenging ten years for US but also testified the power of US. The initiators of the attack tried threatening Americans, to the opposite, could not compare with the vitality and vigor of US. He said “Nowadays our country becomes stronger and the enemies become much weaker. Although we have brought Ben Laden to justice and overset the Ai-Qaeda, our responsibility of protecting country will not shake.”
Finally Obama pointed out US is facing at the challenge of difficulty and people are arguing about the future drastically, but we can’t forget the lesson ten years ago--- “Compared to the aspiration of uniting us together as a big family and walking forward, our divergence is outshone.”
