On the afternoon of August 2, 2011, the presentation of “Where would China go” was held at Taiwan Center in Flushing NY. The keynote speaker is Wang, Dan, famous student leader during June 4th students’ demonstrations in 1989, History Doctoral Degree holder of Harvard University, The Chinese Professional Club Chairman and National Cheng Kung University’s visiting expert. Wang, Dan pointed out that democracy and liberty of China can’t be realized by the Chinese government. As of today, advanced network can help Chinese people overcome their fear of CCP. People can see the truth using their wisdom through the internet and be inspired. Wang, Dan urged the Chinese government to cut down farmers’ burden, and establish the separation of justice and oversight of media. China Democracy Party (CDP) Chairman and China Democracy Journal Proprietor Mr. Wang, Jun was invited to attend and organized some party members to attend.

Wang, Dan pointed out at the presentation that the economic development of China was based unfair society. 10% of the population owns 45% of the total wealth. Over the past 60 years, the government’s financial income has increased to 985 times of that of the past, and people’s disposable income has increased to 18.5 times of that of before. Compared with UK’s investment of 60% of its income on education, medical and retirement, China only invested less than 30%. Unfair society has caused the phenomenon of a wealthy country and poor people and the society is become less stable.

Wang, Dan said that we have hoped for 20 to even 30 years from Hu, Yaobang to Wen, Jiabao. Anyone would be able to know that if for the past 20 to 30 years the government didn’t do anything, how can you still hold hopes for the government? It is proved that it is impossible. Wang, Dan said that CCP defeated KMT holding the flag of democracy and anti-dictatorship. It knows about democracy, but pretends to “sleep and not awaken”. As of today, why Chinese people do not dare to go on the streets even though they are not content? Because they are scared. This is CCP’s biggest secret of success. It has successfully planted fear in people’s hearts. When there is no fear in their hearts, they will find out that the government is just a paper tiger.

Wang, Dan thinks that the development of internet is helping people overcome fear: there are many people on the internet, and people can make comments on the internet under disguise, therefore people are become brave. The internet can inspire people. No matter how the Chinese government is blocking information, people can use their wisdom through internet see the truth and be inspired. Wang, Dan advocates “prosperity, stability, freedom and justice” and urges the government to cut down farmers’ burden, establish an independent justice and realize oversight of media.
