The human rights situation in China hasn’t been improved greatly and the global society and international human rights organization has been paying attention to it. In recent years, United Nations Conference on Human Rights has been researching and discussing the proposal of human rights in China. UN member countries also call on and urge the Chinese government to improve human rights situation. Although the human rights situation was improved once, in general, it doesn’t look optimistic.

Under the pressure from United Nations Conference on Human Rights, the Chinese government on one hand defends human rights and promises to improve; on the other hand, it continues to suppress human rights activists, dissidents and petitioners. And it continues to suppress human rights movements with violence.

The human rights awareness of the Chinese people has been awakening. They are fighting for fairness, justice and consciousness. The Chinese people request to change the unjustified social system, to implement political reforms, the government to protect people’s basic rights. All these efforts are helpful to pushing forward and improving human rights situation in China.
