--Strong Protest Against Chinese Communist Party’s Persecution of China Democracy Party Members and All Those Who Have a Different Opinion
April 26, 2011, 11AM, more than 200 China Democracy Party members were at Consulate-General of PRC in, New York to protest against Chinese Communist Party’s arrest of China Democracy Party’s member Mr. Zhu Yufu; its persecution of China Democracy Party’s party members and those who have a different opinion. Mr. Wang, Jun, the President of China Democracy Party and leader of China Democracy Journal has presented and made important remark. Some Tibetans residing in U.S have also joined this protest at the Consulate-General of PRC in against the government’s arrest of Tibetans in Aba and requested immediate release.
Mr. Zhu Yufu, age 58, is one of the founders of China Democracy Party. He has been a very important Democracy Party leader for Zhejiang Province. In 1979, Mr. Zhu Yufu started a major democracy journal “April/May Monthly Journal”and was elected as a representative. June 1998, he aggressively involved in the establishment of China Democracy Party. After the Zhejiang Preparation Committee was founded on June 25, 1998, on June 30th, he was arrested by policy for 48 hours for releasing the “Public Declaration of the Establishment of Zhejiang Preparation Committee of China Democracy Party”. November 8, 1998, he was elected as General Secretary of Zhejiang Preparation Committee of China Democracy Party’s Routine Work and the Committee member of China Democracy Party’s national Preparation Committee. September 15, 1999, he was arrested by Communist Party and was sentenced to 7 years in prison under “Subversion of state power” and deprived of political rights for 3 years. He was released from prison on September 15, 2006. April 2007, Mr. Zhu Yufu was sentenced to 2 years in prison again under “Obstruction of Public Affairs”. He was released from prison on April 18, 2009. On March 5, 2011, Mr. Zhu Yufu was taken away by Communist Policy from home. On April 11, 2011, Mr. Zhu Yufu was officially arrested by Communist Authority under “Inciting subversion of state power”. His computer, cell phone, articles and books were also taken away.

Mr. Wang, Jun, President of China Democracy Party and leader of China Democracy Journal was present at the gathering and made a remark. He said the Chinese Communist Party has suppressed and persecuted the China Democracy Party members, especially the Zhejiang party members. The reason is that Zhejiang is one of the origins of China Democracy Party and also the most populated member area. The Zhejiang Democracy Party, represented by Mr. Zhu Yufu is the bravest and strongest team. For the past 13 years after the China Democracy Party’s foundation on June 25, 1998, a number of China Democracy Party members have been arrested by the Chinese Communist Party and many of which have been sentenced to long-term groundless crimes and they have been physically persecuted. December 31, 2010, Mr. Lihong, China Democracy Party’s Zhejiang party member was killed after persecution, at the age of 52.
Mr. Wang, Jun said, Mr. Zhu Yufu stated that democracy doesn’t come from nowhere and he will fight against the unfair things to reform the society all his life. And he would let the whole world know how the Chinese prisons operate. He said China needs a democratic system; China will have no hope without a democratic system and its corruption will continue and become severe. Mr. Zhu Yufu stated that there would be sacrifice for democracy; he would definitely go to prison if he continues the democratic movements, but he would fight for his ideas and be prepared to die in prison. Today, Mr. Zhu Yufu ‘s being arrested again shows his great and fearless ambition for democracy. China Democracy Party held a gathering at Consulate-General of PRC in New York and strongly protested the Chinese Communist Party’s arrest of China Democracy Party member Mr. Zhu Yufu and requested the immediate release of Mr. Zhu Yufu. At the same time, Mr. Wang, Jun asked all party members to learn from Mr. Zhu Yufu.
Mr. Wang, Jun said the Chinese Communist Party not only ruthlessly suppresses and persecutes China Democracy Party members, but also punishes their family members. A number of China Democracy Party members’ families have been harassed and intimidated by the Chinese Communist Party. They have been discriminated and treated unfairly both at work and in personal life. Some of those family members have lost their jobs for unjustified reasons and their life has become harsh. Some family members had to look for another job and work extremely hard just to make ends meet.
Mr. Wang, Jun, President of China Democracy Party and leader of China Democracy Journal has always promotes “Donation is the best support of China’s Democracy”. This action of donations and justice can effectively promote the healthy development of Chinese Democracy Career. He hopes that more democratic organizations and people can help with the Chinese democratic career and care for and support those family members who have been persecuted so that they can feel the warmth of the society. For all these years, the China Democracy Party members who live overseas have tried our best to take care of them and help them and conducted donations.
Several China Democracy Party members spoke at the gathering and criticized Chinese Communist Party’s arrest of China Democracy Party member Mr. Zhu Yufu and strongly requested immediate release of him.
Some Tibetans who live in the U.S joined China Democracy Party at the Consulate-General of PRC in New York. They protested for the liberty of Tibet, the release of Kede Temple monks, the stop of killing in Tibet. They held the Tibetan Snowy Mountain and Lion Flag and the photo of their patriotic monk Pingcu. They protested the repression of Tibetans in Aba by the Chinese Government and requested the immediate release of the arrested Aba Tibetans. They also requested China resume the conversations with U.S regarding human rights and talk about the Gede Temple event in Aba.
April 26, 2011, in the afternoon, some China Democracy Party members living in New York responded to the call of President Wang, Jun and donated to Ms. Jiang Hangli, the wife of Mr. Zhu Yufu. And President Wang, Jun also praised these who donated.
