Rally of “Strongly protest CCP heavily sentenced CDP member Mr. Liu,Xianbin”

At 11:00 am on March 29, 2011, more than two hundred CDP members went to Chinese Consulate General in New York and held a rally of “Strongly protest CCP heavily sentenced CDP member Mr. Liu,Xianbin”! “Strongly request CCP instantly release imprisoned CDP members!” “Strongly protest CCP heavily sentenced Mr. Liu,Xianbin at the key point of :Jasmine revolution!”. Wang,Jun, chairman of China Democracy Party, and proprietor of “China Democracy Journal” attended the rally and made speech. Rep of Chinese Victims League Ge,Lifang attended the rally and made written speech.
CDP member Liu,Xianbin is from Suining, Sichuan province, was born on Otc. 2, in 1968, attended People’s University in 1987. He took part in famous democratic movement in 1989, and was arrested and imprisoned because of that, he continued democratic movement after he was released. On April 15, 1991, he was again imprisoned in Qincheng prison in Beijing, and was sentenced 2 years and a half with crime of “Counterrevolutionary propaganda and incitement”, later he was released on Oct 1993. In March 1998, Liu,Xianbin issued “A public letter to the Ninth National People’s Congress” and demanded CCP to improve human rights and sign international human rights treaty. On June 25, 1998, China Democracy Party was established in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Liu,Xianbin prepared CDP activities in Sichuan province. On Oct 15, 1998, Liu,Xianbin and his friends publicly established “China Democracy Party in Sichuan province”.
In Jan 1999, Liu,Xianbin discussed the development of CDP in Hubei, Hu,Nan, Zhe,Jiang, Shan,Dong, and Beijing, he was arrested for a month in Beijing and was taken to Suining, Sichuan, he was strictly controlled and arrested again on July 7, 1999, on August 6, 1999, Liu,Xianbin was sentenced 13 years in prison by “Inciting subversion of state power”. He served 9 years and 4 months in prison and was released on Nov 6, 2008. Liu,Xianbin signed “Charter 08” and was arrested again on June 28, 2010 with “Inciting subversion of state power”. On March 25, 2011, he was illegally judged by CCP and sentenced 10 years in prison with “Inciting subversion of state power”.

Wang,Jun, chairman of China Democracy Party, proprietor of “China Democracy Journal” expressed that, the trend of Jasmine revolution which started in Tunisia to Egypt and quickly spread to the world, currently jasmine revolution in China is in the ascendant, and proved that Chinese people especially those who are knowledgeable have stronger demand for democracy, it signaled the trend of democracy, freedom and human rights are unstoppable in China; it also signaled the communist dictatorship is losing popularity in modern world.
Wang,Jun said, after the jasmine revolution in China, on one hand, CCP twist jasmine revolution with lies, and twist the no-fly zone decision by the UN. On the other hand, CCP use huge armed forces to suppress jasmine revolution, CCP heavily sentenced Liu,Xianbin 10 years in prison proved its guilty conscience and afraid of jasmine revolution.
Wang,Jun pointed out that CCP’s heavy sentence for Liu,Xianbin is also a warning for those who attend jasmine revolution and dissidents, CCP warned them not to let jasmine revolution bear fruit in China. CDP member Liu,Xianbin paid a terrible price for democratic cause in China, he is an outstanding rep of CDP and the most brave and outstanding democrat. Wang,Jun called on CDP members to learn from Liu,Xianbin, and called on CDP members to donate to his family, and expressed sincere sympathy to his wife Chen,Mming on behalf of CDP.
Today, CDP went to Chinese Consulate General again and strongly protest CCP heavily sentenced CDP member Liu,Xianbin, strongly protest CCP persecuted CDP members, strongly require CCP to instantly release all imprisoned CDP members. Several CDP members made speech at the rally, and requested CCP to instantly release CDP member Liu,Xianbin and return his freedom!
