Propaganda agencies of Chinese governments recently launch new internet media platforms, some media comment that such action of Chinese government is trying to use resources controlled by the government to strengthen control over internet media, and prevent similar “jasmine revolution” in Egypt and Tunisia to happen in China.
In Chinese society, people have repeatedly posted news on the internet, and called on Chinese people to emulate “Jasmine revolution” in Tunisia and Egypt, and made Chinese government very nervous. Chinese police monitored gathering places of “Jasmine revolution”, in some places polices were more than people who attend “Jasmine revolution”. Chinese government spent huge amount of money to control and block “Jasmine revolution”, “walks” on the internet.
Chinese government requests local governments to strengthen internet info management, and improve internet media mechanism. Chinese government is afraid of “Jasmine revolution” in Middle East, and tried to strengthen control and prevention of internet. Such action can only block some news of “Jasmine revolution”, and can’t control Chinese people’s pursuit of democracy and freedom. We have reason to believe that “Jasmine revolution” will bloom and bear fruit in China.
