Seminar of Middle East situation and “Jasmine flower revolution” in China

At 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on March 1, 2011, seminar of Middle East situation and “Jasmine flower revolution” in China was held in “China Democracy Journal”, speakers include professor in mainland China Mr. Wang,Zhenghua, former government official Mr. Huang,Jianbing, Ms. Wang,Yana who worked in advertising planning in China, engineer Ms. Xuqing from Northeast China, and teacher Ms. Wang,Xiaoping from Shandong province.
Chairman of China Democracy Party, proprietor of “China Democracy Journal” Mr. Wang,Jun first spoke at the seminar. CDP members and seventy people from other walks of life attended the seminar, minister of organizing dept. Mr. Qiu,Gengmin hosted the seminar.
“Jasmine flower revolution” was evolved from the death of a vender in Tunisia, North Africa, and quickly spread to massive protest of “Jasmine flower revolution”, President of Tunisia Ben Ali escaped to Saudi Arabia on the night of Jan 14, 2011, and 23 years of dictatorship collapsed overnight. Following the “Jasmine flower revolution”, Egypt launched extensive anti-government protests, and as protest escalated, Egypt President Mubarak who had ruled Egypt for 30 years stepped down on Feb 11, 2011. Afterwards, “Jasmine flower revolution” developed very fast and spread world wide. Libya had military involved protests, and requested the President to step down. Though international society takes sanction against Libya, President Kadhafi doesn’t want to lay down arms, and the situation in Libya is still very complicated.

Audience at the seminar think that “Jasmine flower revolution” in Tunisia and Egypt shocked China, Chinese people in some cities launch “Jasmine flower revolution” with various means, highlight of “Jasmine flower revolution” in China has the following: huge gap between the rich and poor, imbalance economic development, unequal and injustice society, underlying crisis in ecological environment, problems in employment, education, medical treatment, food safety, removal, appeals all have direct relationship with official corruption, and an honest, advanced, and efficient political system is needed to solve these problems. If China has more than two political parties, parties can supervise each other, no one will corrupt can government will be free from corruption.
CCP force-out “Jasmine flower revolution”, strictly restrict internet, block news reports, control searches inquiry about “Jasmine flower revolution”, articles with the theme of “Jasmine flower revolution” are all deleted. Local government in China strengthened repression and similar “Jasmine flower revolution” crowds will be expelled; some will be arrested and even detained.
People at the seminar unanimously agree that China needs a real “Jasmine flower revolution”, a political reform, end the one party dictatorship of CCP, realize equal competition of multi parties, unite all political parties who support democratic constitutionalism, and implement democratic constitutionalism with multi-party rotating coalition.
