Li,Shaohua: Realizing rule of law is the basic aspect for freedom of speech

Freedom of speech is basic human rights of people, the constitution must has regulations to guarantee freedom of speech. Current China is a society ruled by one party dictatorship of CCP, and not a society ruled by law, laws of a country can’t guarantee freedom of speech, and Chinese people has no freedom of speech.
The starting point of freedom of speech is to express personal ideas and comments freely, no matter the usefulness of such comments and effects on social stability; no matter the negative effects on administrative concepts and authority. Freedom of speech is divine right and can’t be deprived. At present, Chinese government restricts peoples’ freedom of speech, some people become criminals because of free comments.
Rule of law is basic aspects of realizing freedom of speech, a legal society can assure freedom of speech of people. Therefore, no rule of law, no independent judicial system, and lack of supervision and restriction over official power, people’s rights of freedom of speech can’t be guaranteed.
