Wang,Yana: Paying a New Year call to all CDP members

The annual Chinese New Year is coming, and it happened to be the routine rally of CDP, thus chairman Wang,Jun led hundreds of CDP members gathered outside of Chinese Consulate General, protesting CCP persecuted outstanding CDP member Li,Hong to death, paying a New Year call to all CDP members, democrats, dissidents and their families. Though it was cold and rained, our enthusiasm didn’t reduce at all.
At the moment of family reunion, it’s a pity that I can’t gather with families and friends in China. Thus chairman Wang,Jun held a Spring Festival gala. CDP members who couldn’t go home and spend the New Year gathered together and celebrated the festival, we felt the warmth of family in CDP headquarter. Such party meant a lot to me. This New Year was the first time that I didn’t spend with families and I was away from home. It snowed in Chicago, and I couldn’t go home in time to celebrate with friends. Luckily, such common party made me feel very warm and not sad at all. CDP members are from every part of China, and unrelated people have a common goal: to change China to a democratic country and we found a mutual home at the other side of the Altantic. Speeches of CDP members expressed their warm feeling of CDP and also regret that they could not go back and reunion with families. A sensitive CDP member shed tears when heard chairman Wang,Jun song “My motherland”. Every CDP member felt the mood at the party and I felt the same. The one party dictatorship of CCP strike down democratic movements and made many CDP members overseas could not go home. We are very lucky compared to those persecuted and arrested CDP members because of democratic movements in China. The parting is only short term, the revolution is hard work, the ideal of democratic China can gather people from all corners of the country, and I strongly believe that through our efforts, more people will know the meaning of democracy, get involved in democratic movements, and believe that China will become a democratic country one day. Let us look forward to the day when overseas democrats can go back and reunion with families, look forward to overseas democrats gather together and fight for the democratic cause in China.
