Shi,Liying: Chinese government must stop family planning policy

China’s family planning policy has been executed for thirty years, and objectively speaking, the policy slowed growth rate of population, and reduced pressure for social development. The truth proves that the issue of family planning policy was a very hasty decision, and didn’t proved scientifically, it can be said that family planning policy has no benefits but detrimental to generations: Family planning policy lured China to deformed development, and reduced sustainable development for China; it not only rose cost for rearing children, reduced willingness for women to breed, and made China to enter a time when parents can’t afford to raise children; accelerated aging population, and appeared getting old without achieving prosperity.
As time goes by, aging population and sex ratio will be more obvious and serious. Thirty years later millions of elder waits for care, feudal thoughts of “males are better than females” made many young male single. If Chinese government can’t adjust family planning policy in time, it will severely impact social development in China.
Chinese government has to stop execution of family planning policy when the population crisis hasn’t erupt, and improve people’s livelihood, raise fertility rate, and gradually improve population structure. Thus negative effects of family planning policy can be reduced to the minimum, and truly improve quality of the population in Chinese society.
