Chairman Wang,Jun received Distinguished Community Leader Prize in N.Y.

On Dec. 4, 2010, Community Prevention Alternatives and Universal Peace Federation held a party at Flushing Town Hall in N.Y. Community members who contributed to the community for the past year were awarded; the party also invited high officials from consulting firms, priests, and community leaders to discuss and exchange ideas with audiences regarding social conflicts in 2010. Chairman of China Democracy Party, proprietor of “China Democracy Journal” attended the party with several members.
Famous N.Y. community leader, President of Community Prevention Alternatives Martha Flores-Vazquez hosted the party, N.Y. city counselor Gu,Yaming awarded community members from China, Korea, India, Africa, Spanish, Ireland, South America and others. Chairman of China Democracy Party, proprietor of “China Democracy Journal” is awarded with distinguished community leader, Bodhi foundation Chen,Kuizhang, citizen Dai,Zhide, Zhang,Derong, Yu,Yi received community service award respectively.
N.Y. city counselor Gu,Yaming said, he was very happy to attend the party and award those community members, the theme of the party is how to prevent and handle conflicts, Flushing is a place of multiethnic, multi-religious, and multi-culture, if there are some small conflicts, professionals, community leaders, and churches can be consulted or go to counselor office, but don’t do bad things and hope community members can live happily.
Chairman of China Democracy Party, proprietor of “China Democracy Journal” said to the press that as a member of the community, he fully support community leaders, counselor candidates and their work; for the past year, “China Democracy Journal” once provided working place for election team of John A. Messer, candidate for 16 constituents of N.Y. State; assisted Martha Flores-Vazquez to organize conference and provide for conference room; for these activities, “China Democracy Journal” had full reports and widely publicized in Chinese community. Wang,Jun promised to continuous support counselors, community leaders, candidates of congressmen and actively involve in community services, and solve problems for community members. Wang,Jun hopes Chinese members can learn from advanced American culture and civilization, and be one who can contribute to the community.
Martha said the party is to celebrate the holiday, discuss how to prevent and face conflicts, solving conflicts means understanding emotions that generate conflicts, including building near Ground Zero, and those who don’t have a chance to express their feelings. The first step to solve conflicts is to communicate among different ethnics, different cultural background, and different religious system. She hopes community members can fully understand each other, and tolerate other cultures.
