About 11:00 a.m. on 3rd, March, 2009, there were more than 100 CDPWU members went to the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in New York to hold a rally under cold wind and heavy snow, and developed “Propagandistic Year of Rescuing Political Persecuted Chinese Suffer” Serial Movement No. 4: Rally on “Strongly Protesting against CCP’s Arresting Right Defender Gao, Zhisheng!”, “Strongly Urge CCP to Release the Imprisoned Right Defender Immediately!”. Jun Wang, Chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union, Proprietor of <China Democracy Journal> took part in today’s rally and made a speech.
Gao, Zhisheng, born on April 20, 1964 in Shanxi Province, he is a famous right defending lawyer in Beijing Shengzhi Law Office; he has ever dealt with many case of right defending, sued local government, wrote to CCP authority to change the illegal measures they used to Falun Gong group, and also, lots of domestic and foreign media have released a number of these relative reports. The conducts of Gao, Zhisheng have ever been harassed and persecuted by CCP government of using gangsterdom measures. On August 15, 2006, Gao, Zhisheng was arrested by CCP authority in his sister’s house in Shandong. On September 21, CCP authority arrested Gao, Zhisheng officially with reason of “inciting the subversion of power”. After lawyer Gao, Zhisheng was arrested, his family was strictly controlled by CCP authority, and pounded and persecuted his wife. On December 21, 2006, Gao, Zhisheng was sentenced three years of fixed-term imprisonment, five years of probation, and deprivation of political rights for one year by CCP authority with the reason of “inciting the subversion of power”.
Lawyer Gao, Zhisheng become the famous Chinese right defending leader, and he is widely known as “Chinese conscience”, and he was nominated of Nobel Peace Prize in 2008. He was kidnapped by CCP authority on February 4, 2009, and his whereabouts is still unknown.

Jun Wang, Chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union, Proprietor of <China Democracy Journal> pointed out in the rally that the tortures lawyer Gao, Zhisheng endured by CCP authority were completely went beyond people’s imagination. Why did CCP authority adopt such inhuman tortures to lawyer Gao, Zhisheng? The answer is simple, that is lawyer Gao, Zhisheng insisted just and conscience, oppose terrorist and violence, defend for vulnerable group and Falun Gong members.
Jun Wang said that torture is the brutal persecution to Gao, Zhisheng, who was ever praised and selected of “Ten Excellent Lawyer” by CCP government which is always promote to establish “harmonious society” and exercise “Hu Wen New Policy”. Since lawyer Gao, Zhisheng, as a Christian, he is not only defend right for Chinese people who live at the foot of the social ladder, but also publically appeal CCP to stop persecuting Falun Gong members. Because the conducts of Gao, Zhisheng scared CCP autarchic government which worships violence, lawyer Gao was a thorn to CCP.
Jun Wang indicated that we should insist to express democratic freedom philosophy with ways of publicity, peace, ration and non-violence as China Democrats, to strive for Chinese people’s freedom, democracy, fairness and just. Chinese democrats protest against all terrorism, violent ruling and persecution; stand for realizing democracy, freedom, human rights and ruled by law in China. Here, CDP strongly urge CCP authority to stop persecuting Falun Gong petitioners and lawyer Gao, Zhisheng immediately. CDP solemnly appeal the international societies together to rescue Gao, Zhisheng, a right defending leader who exerted all his strength for democratic freedom, human rights and ruled by law.
Some CDP member made speech in the rally, and they spoke loudly and vehemently to urge CCP authority to stop persecuting Falun Gong! Release right defending lawyer Gao, Zhisheng Immediately!
Mr. Zheng, Kexue, director of China Free Democracy Party American Committee took part in the rally and made a speech.
