He, Depu(何德普)’s brief biography
He, Depu was born in Beijing in 1956.
He attended the movements of “Democratic Wall” in 1979, and he was the convener of “Beijing Youth”.
In 1980, he ran for the deputy to the NPC in Beijing organic chemical plant.
In the evening of June 3, 1989, he stopped the moving of martial law forces with citizens in front of military museum and rescued the wounded.
In 1998, he ran for the deputy to the NPC in Beijing academy of social sciences. (He was fired by his working place in 2000).
In 1998 he attended the rally of impacting the party.
In July 1999, he worked as the interim chief of CDP, launched movements of rights and opposed removing the housed forcefully. Besides, he edited issue 28 of “China Democracy Journal”and was stayed in the prison for eight years and three months.
