Mr. Xie, Changfa, now 50 years old has been the chief of China Democracy Party, Hunan branch, since 1998.He was arrested due to his position in CDP. On June 10, 2008, Xie, Changfa entertained CDP member Yue, Tianxiang in Gansu Tianshui and had dinner with friends from Changsha. After that, he was secretly monitored by the authority.
On June 25, 2008 Xie, Changfa was arrested and searched his home.
On August 1, 2008, CCP authority formally arrested Xie, Changfa, according to “Overthrowing State Power”.
中国民主党人谢长发先生现年五十多岁，1998年成为中国民主党湖南地区的负责人，曾因此而被捕入狱。2008年6月10日，谢长发在长沙接待甘肃天水的中国民主党成员岳天祥，并与长沙的朋友一起聚餐，此后谢长发受到当局的严密监控。
2008年6月25日，谢长发被拘留并抄家。
2008年8月1日，中共当局以“颠覆国家政权”罪将谢长发正式逮捕。
2009年9月1日，谢长发被中共当局以“颠覆国家政权罪”判处有期徒刑13年 |
