Wang, Rongqing's Profile:
He is a native of Zhejiang China.
Mr. Wang, Rongqing was born in 1941. He is a member of China Democracy Party and he is always actively dedicated to Chinese democracy career. In 1978, he participated in the Xi Dan Democracy Wall movement. He edited and published “Si Wu” monthly journal and "East China" Journal. In 1989, he was devoted to students’ democracy movements. In 1998, he built up Chinese Democracy Party. On June 26, 2008, Wang, Rongqing was detained by CCP authorities due to “Overthrowing State Power” and was arrested on July 31.
On Dec. 9, 2008, CCP authorities have listed “Three Guilty”:
Firstly, he participated in organization and plan of China Democracy Party and issued relevant articles of democracy freedom.
Secondly, He took charge of the Zhejiang Committee of China Democratic Party.
Thirdly, he participated in and planed on the calling on China Democracy Party First National Meeting.
He was sentenced by CCP authorities for 6 years.

1941年出生的王荣清先生，中国民主党党员，一直积极投身于中国的民主事业，他1978年参加西单民主墙运动；编辑出版“四五月刊”和“华东民刊”等刊物；1989年投身学生民主运动，1998年参与建立中国民主党。2008年6月26日，王荣清被中共当局以“颠覆国家政权罪”刑事拘留，于7月31日被逮捕。
2008年12月9日，中共当局为王荣清列出了“三大罪状”：
第一，参与中国民主党的组织和策划，并发表有关民主自由的文章；
第二，担任中国民主党浙江委员会的召集人；
第三，参与、策划中国民主党全国一大的召开。
2008年12月9日被中共当局以“颠覆国家政权罪”判刑六年。 |
